Başkonsolosun Mesajı
The Consulate General, opened in 1925, carries
out its activities with an understanding that reflects the deep-rooted
historical, cultural and humanitarian relations between Türkiye and Palestine.
The Palestinian issue has always been a priority of the Turkish foreign policy. There is no doubt that the close kinship and brotherhood ties between the Turkish and Palestinian peoples, who have a shared history of four centuries, constitute the core of our relations. It is a source of pride for every Turkish diplomat to see the Turkish cultural heritage in almost every corner of Palestine, as well as in Haram al-Sharif, the third holiest site of Islam.
Türkiye has always strongly supported the establishment of a fully independent and sovereign Palestinian State, with East Jerusalem as its capital, within the framework of the 1967 borders. In this context, Türkiye led the initiative for Palestine to obtain the status of "Non-Member Observer State" at the United Nations on November 29, 2012. Türkiye has always encouraged initiatives to advance the Middle East Peace Process.
The Commercial Attaché Office, Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centres (East Jerusalem and Ramallah), TIKA Program Coordination Office (Ramallah and Gaza), YTB (Türkiye Scholarships) and Turkish Red Crescent Delegation (Gaza) serve to further develop our bilateral relations and strengthen the ties of the Palestinian people with our country. TRT and Anadolu Agency Representations in East Jerusalem broadcast the developments in the region to the entire world.
The Consulate General provides the Palestinians and other foreigners with information on Türkiye and visa services, as well as offers consular services for Turkish citizens living in or visiting Palestine throughout the year.
