Political Relations Between Türkiye and Palestine, 5.12.2022

The relations between Türkiye and Palestine are at the highest level in all areas and our cooperation is developing both at bilateral level and on the international platforms.

Türkiye gives every support to Palestine and leads international initiatives for the freedom of the occupied Palestinian territories according the international law and the vision of two-state solution in which East Jerusalem will be its capital.

The aim of the cooperation between the two countries is to help the state building process of Palestine and to strengthen its economy.

Türkiye strongly supported Palestine's application for membership to the United Nations in September 2011, as well as gaining the status of "non-member observer state" with the vote held on 29 November 2012 at the UN General Assembly. Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs personally attended the session and addressed the UNGA. He was the only foreign dignitary present at the session.
